Work Celebrations: Food Overload
I work for a school, and this whole past week we’ve had visitors in our building so they’ve had all kinds of pastries and food laying around. Then on Wednesday our school got a good review so they had a buffet style celebration for everyone with Subway sandwiches, chips, brownies, and other stuff. Even though I didn’t want it I ate it. Being in an environment where they always celebrate with food is really hard, especially when you want to celebrate because the work is hard. I’ve decided I need to start eating a big, healthy meal BEFORE these celebrations so I’m not tempted.
Anyways, every pay day Friday one of the school’s groups sponsors a staff breakfast. So today they had chick-fil-a breakfast sandwiches, OJ, bacon, eggs, etc. I managed to limit myself to a two pieces of bacon, one mini breakfast sandwich, some OJ, and some coffee. Ok, I’m ashamed I wasn’t able to avoid it all together, but like I said, I’m trying.
